The Idea Behind Arrows Up
The Vision
We founded Arrows Up on a simple conviction: the most important conversations in business rarely happen inside an office. After years of leading teams and experiencing firsthand the limitations of traditional corporate off-sites, we set out to build the property we always wished existed — one that matched the ambition of the leaders it would host.
The Property History
Fire Tower Road takes its name from Sullivan's Ridge Fire Tower — a historic Davidson County lookout station, part of a statewide network of over 200 towers that once stood watch over Tennessee's woodlands. These towers were staffed by trained lookouts who climbed above the landscape to spot fires, coordinate responses, and protect what mattered across Middle Tennessee's forests. Tennessee's network was largely built in the 1930s through the Civilian Conservation Corps, and during World War II, many towers doubled as enemy aircraft spotters.
The property at Arrows Up sits in the Bellevue corridor of west Nashville — within Davidson County, the oldest county in Middle Tennessee, established in 1783. The acreage was developed in 1981 on land that had long been held as private, forested estate — the kind of property Nashville's early settlers recognized as worth protecting.
